Part I and II of the book introduce readers to environmental management as visualized through Bladrige, Deming, and ISO 14001 frameworks. Part III of the book is crammed with tools for analysis, implementation, assessment, and study. The term "Total Quality Environmental Management" (TQEM) will, in time, become dated, for TQEM is not a stand-alone activity. Time and experience have shown that environmental issues, however critical to business, should not be managed separately, but should be integrated with other priorities addressed in business planning.
